Position: Corporate Controller

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid â 3 days in office)

A well-established and growing manufacturing company based in Irvine is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to join its leadership team. This is a key strategic role, responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in public accounting, deep knowledge of inventory and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, and a hands-on leadership style.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and payroll.

Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

Oversee inventory and cost accounting, with deep involvement in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.

Partner with operations to drive financial insights related to manufacturing efficiency, margins, and cost control.

Prepare internal financial statements, management reports, and dashboards for senior leadership.

Coordinate annual external audit and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external parties.

Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting professionals.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelorâ s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Masterâ s a plus.

CPA required or in active pursuit.

Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier preferred).

Manufacturing industry experience required, with strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop staff.

Strong systems and ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
