Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Cleaner - On-call provides temporary on-call cleaning duties at the Vassar College Alumnae House Inn to cover peak workload periods or to provide coverage during employee absences.

Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of all hotel rooms and their related bathrooms.

Make beds, dust vacuum and re-stock supplies as required.

Maintain cleanliness of all hotel hallways, lounges and public bathrooms.

Maintain cleanliness of all public room space.

Machine launder all robes, towels, bedspreads, and curtains.

Put away all clean linen.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One (1) year experience in the maintenance and care of facilities in a similar environment is preferred.

Ability to move, position and place objects up to and including 25 pounds is required.

Must be able to interact with guests courteously.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, including understanding, speaking, reading and writing is required.

Willingness to work overtime as available. Overtime is assigned according to seniority guidelines.
