Opportunity
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Support Officer and Trainer to manage all aspects of technical training including developing, promoting, organising and delivering Normet product training both internally and externally. This position is also responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues to ensure optimal machine serviceability, both verbally and in writing.
We are open to this position being based either in Perth, Adelaide or Sydney.

About you
Trade Qualifications in Auto-Electrical, Hydraulics, Diesel Fitter or Licensed Electrician is essential, dual trade highly regarded.
Certificate IV Training and Assessment is essential.
Extensive diagnostic and/or repair experience with Normet equipment and systems (or similar) is essential.
Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in similar role along with extensive underground mining experience is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in facilitating training sessions and delivering effective presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a high level of problem-solving and organisational skills.
High-level product and industry knowledge; in particular:
Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems pertaining to Normet equipment or similar.
Basic knowledge of Shotcreting and spraying processes, and charging process (non-qualified)
Self-driven, strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
Ability to manage highly agile and changing work environments.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organised, flexible, and proactive with a positive can do’ attitude.
Regular interstate travel is required (initially 40-50%, once fully trained 60% of the time).
Overseas travel maybe required on occasions.
Flexible to be part of the Technical Support Roster (approx. 1 weekend per month).
The successful candidate must have full working rights in Australia, be able to pass a pre-employment medical, and obtain a National Police Clearance before commencement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop training materials, protocols and aids to enable the effective delivery of training for:
Product commissioning and mine/ tunnel operator training;
Technical and simulator training;
A basic understanding of Concrete technology and basic understanding of effective application of explosives.
Actively promote and deliver training with mine/tunnel operators and maintenance personnel to support the successful adoption of Normet products into the mine/ tunnel site.
Provide technical expertise and training to Normet staff to support the achievement of corporate sales objectives.
Development of technical services training calendar to ensure all customers and staff receive required training.
Conduct inductions and essential training sessions for new employees and current.
Prepare a monthly activity progress and opportunity within the business and market.
Provide technical expertise, problem solving, fault finding and technical support to customers to assist in machine serviceability and performance.
Collaborate with Engineering, Service Technicians, and customers with testing and adjusting of all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits and /or components.
Assist in the development of Work Instructions, SOP’s and any other documentation for operations, service, and repair of Normet equipment and machine systems.
Act as an OEM subject matter expert during incident investigations, liaising directly with customers and assist in development of Operational Risk Assessments for both internal processes and customer use.
