At Konrad Technologies, we're looking for a versatile Electro-Mechanical Technician with machining capabilities to support the build and customization of our client-specific test systems. This hybrid role is approximately 75% electro-mechanical technician and 25% machinist, ideal for someone who enjoys both wiring control panels and making precision parts on a mill or CNC.
In this role, you'll use your electrical and mechanical assembly skills while also applying your experience in machining to support system builds and small part fabrication. Your future tasks: (Electro-Mechanical Technician – 75%)
Interpret and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Assemble and wire industrial control panels and test system enclosures.
Ensure mechanical assembly of systems meets design specifications (form, fit, and function).
Collaborate with engineering to validate and improve system designs.
Assemble PCBs and perform soldering work as needed.
Organize work areas and manage assigned components.
Conduct quality inspections and assist in final system verification.
Machinist Responsibilities (25%)
Operate manual mills (e.g., Bridgeport) and CNC equipment (e.g., HAAS) to fabricate custom parts.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints for machining.
Perform basic CNC programming or setup as needed.
Maintain machine shop tools and equipment in good working order.
Support prototype part production and one-off modifications.Requirements:
3+ years of relevant work experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient with crimping, wiring, hand tools, and power tools.
Skilled in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Soldering experience.
Familiarity with test systems and industrial control wiring.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Associate degree or 5+ years in Instrumentation, Controls Technology, or Electrical Technology.
Familiarity with HAAS CNC machines and basic G-code programming.
Experience using manual mills (e.g., Bridgeport) and metalworking tools.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 or IPC-A-610 Certification.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with test equipment.
Knowledge of basic electronics.
Full-time
