This private physician group provides trauma and acute care surgery coverage for St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. This facility is a 150+ bed acute-care facility and Level II Trauma Center located just north of Austin, Texas. We are looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The ideal candidate will bring a positive and caring personality, excellent communication skills, be a team player and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.

Variety: this position will round on medical/surgical floors, the step-down unit and the ICU patients. He/she will also cover ER admissions and consults for general and trauma surgery.

The full-time position is a 1.0 FTE and will work 7-8 24hr shifts per month with the potential for PRN shifts.
The PRN position should be available for 3-4 24hr shifts per month with the opportunity for a full-time position in the future.

Requirements for Nurse Practitioners:
MUST BE ACUTE CARE BOARD CERTIFIED
1-year inpatient nurse practitioner experience is preferred however, we are also new-grad friendly to those with an ICU and/or ER background from a large trauma center.
Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement or at least an APRN test date scheduled.
Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification issued by the American College of Surgeons is preferred.
