Job Summary:
Seeking a Program / Project Scheduler for Energy projects in the Warrenville, IL area (30 miles west of Chicago). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules while ensuring alignment with the scope of work for Energy & Utility projects. This role requires experience with scheduling software and the ability to analyze project timelines, track progress, and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Job Duties:
Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and develop schedules based on project WBS.
Develop and update summary-level and detailed schedules based on communication with project stakeholders.
Incorporate logic into schedules and define critical paths.
Evaluate critical and near-critical activity sequences.
Integrate resources and budgets into project schedules.
Manage schedule baselines and develop milestone reporting, including tracking long-lead procurement items.
Perform monthly progress updates and validate completion percentages against weighted milestones.
Review and validate subcontractor schedules, ensuring proper integration into the master schedule.
Reforecast completion dates and suggest corrective actions when delays occur.
Develop recovery plans as necessary.
Forecast future resource requirements and develop look-ahead reports.
Support cash flow forecasting with schedule reports and projected completion dates.
Qualifications:
Education:
BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
Required Experience:
At least 1-5 years of project scheduling experience.
Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Experience working on Energy & Utility projects.
Desired Experience:
Proficient in Earned Value Management, including the development of rules of credit.
Experience conducting risk assessments using Monte Carlo simulations.
Skills:
Strong ability to work within cross-functional teams and facilitate communication across various stakeholders.
Continuous improvement mindset, identifying innovative ways to enhance scheduling processes.
