Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations for our organization in Naugatuck, Connecticut. This role is integral in driving accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvements to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including the accurate and timely closure of purchase orders.
• Consolidate and analyze financial data to ensure accurate reporting of business results.
• Prepare and coordinate internal and external financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Facilitate external audits by managing document requests and providing necessary information.
• Deliver critical financial insights to support executive decision-making processes.
• Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Evaluate current accounting operations, recommend improvements, and implement enhanced processes.
• Assess and strengthen accounting and internal control systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Supervise regulatory reporting activities, including tax planning and compliance requirements.
• Strong expertise in accounting functions, including general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Demonstrated experience in managing budget processes and financial planning.
• Solid understanding of auditing principles and practices.
• Ability to evaluate and improve accounting systems and internal controls.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory reporting and tax compliance.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
