Job Description

Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is looking for a talented Controller for one of his clients. The Controller will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance. This leadership role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure accuracy and efficiency while contributing to strategic planning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements

Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings

Develop internal controls and ensure financial integrity

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Supervise and mentor accounting staff

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
