We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Buyer to join our client's team on a Contract to Permanent basis in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will oversee procurement activities, manage contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to navigate complex buying processes.
Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement operations, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor negotiations.
• Review and administer contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
• Lead contract negotiation discussions to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor contract compliance and address any discrepancies or issues.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed buying decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor interactions.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff on procurement best practices.• Extensive experience in buying processes and procurement operations.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and compliance.
