Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of a dynamic IT services company based in Denver, Colorado. This organization, backed by private equity, is in a high-growth phase and requires a strategic financial leader who can drive profitability, optimize financial processes, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on expertise and strategic vision to oversee financial performance, reporting, and growth initiatives.
This role is 100% in office, so must live in Colorado to be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and long-term goals.
• Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to guide key business decisions and enhance financial performance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and manage accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Act as the primary financial liaison for private equity sponsors and the board, delivering clear and insightful financial analysis.
• Drive improvements in financial operations, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost optimization initiatives to ensure financial health.
• Lead the financial due diligence, valuation, and integration processes for mergers and acquisitions.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards to monitor business performance.• At least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within IT or detail-oriented services.
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within a private equity-backed organization.
• Expertise in financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP& A), cash management, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems, business intelligence tools, and process automation.
• Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in scaling financial operations within a high-growth environment.
