We are seeking a motivated and experienced Land Survey Project Manager to join a well-established civil engineering firm in Marietta, GA. This is a fully on-site, full-time opportunity offering the chance to lead impactful land survey projects within a collaborative and technically proficient team.
The firm has been delivering residential and commercial civil land design and surveying services since 1945 and is growing its team due to an increase in work volume.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a variety of land surveying projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Compute boundary surveys and review survey plats for accuracy and compliance.
Develop staking plans and collaborate with field crews to guide efficient execution.
Coordinate closely with Survey Crew Chiefs and in-office staff to ensure quality control.
Oversee and contribute to boundary resolution tasks.
Support ongoing staff development by helping implement a continuing education program alongside leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Georgia PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) license or LSIT with ability to obtain PLS certification.
~ 8+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering plus 2 years of experience.
Demonstrated success managing land surveying projects and leading technical teams.
Proficient with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience:
Software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, TerraModel, Survnet, MS Word, Excel
Equipment: Leica Total Stations, Leica GPS units, FARO 3D Scanner
Additional Details:
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8am 5pm with flexible start (7:30 9:00am)
Work Environment: Casual attire (jeans and collared shirt), collaborative office culture
Travel: Rare; occasional site walk-downs
