The Director of Creative Operations is responsible for driving efficiency, organization, and strategic alignment within the content department. This role bridges the gap between creativity and operational excellence, ensuring smooth workflows, resource allocation, and project execution. The Director will oversee project management, process optimization, budgeting, and team collaboration to enhance productivity and maximize the impact of creative initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Project & Workflow Management

Develop and optimize creative workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Manage project intake, prioritization, and execution in collaboration with stakeholders.

Implement tools and software to track progress, approvals, and revisions effectively.

Own and oversee creative calendars, ensuring alignment with marketing, brand, and business goals.

Team & Resource Management

Lead and mentor producers, and content staff.

Assign resources based on project needs, optimizing workloads for efficiency and balance.

Develop training programs to enhance team skills and keep up with industry trends.

Responsible for hiring, development and performance of the team

Process & Efficiency Improvement

Identify bottlenecks and implement best practices to improve creative output.

Standardize processes for asset creation, approvals, and distribution.

Ensure seamless collaboration cross functionally and within the department.

Budgeting & Vendor Management

Oversee budgets for content operations, tracking expenses and optimizing costs.

Manage relationships with freelancers, agencies, and production vendors.

Negotiate contracts and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, product, Digital teams to align creative output with business objectives.

Act as a liaison between creative and other departments to streamline communication.

Advocate for creative needs while balancing business priorities.

Technology & Asset Management

Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and legal requirements.

Stay up to date with emerging creative tools and technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Experience: 5+ years in creative operations, project management, or a related field within an agency or in-house creative or content team.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.

Project Management: Expertise in project management

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with creative software

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions.

Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and vendor contracts.
