Talent Acquisition at Ohio State is responsible for the ongoing strategy and implementation of sourcing, recruiting, selecting and onboarding talent. Talent Acquisition Coordinators provide comprehensive support for various operations. Coordinators work collaboratively as a team and in tandem with recruiters, HR partners and hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment experience and contribute to the overall success of the university’s talent acquisition efforts.
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordinator – Compliance is part of the Talent Acquisition I-9 Compliance team that works with new employees (faculty, staff, and students) on the completion of the Form I-9 and other pre-boarding tasks to ensure that their information is accurately reflected in the HR Information System (Workday).

Duties:
60% Compliance Transactions
Meets with new employees to complete Form I-9 in accordance with federal requirements and follow up with employees regarding Form I-9 and employment authorization. Handles additional Workday pre-boarding activities, including but not limited to, employees needing to obtain social security numbers, completion of form SSA-1945, visa data and more. Communicates with employees about upcoming employment authorization expiration dates and completes reverifications of employment authorization on Form I-9. Presents to hiring managers and new employees about the requirements for the Form I-9 and other preboarding tasks.
30% Audit and Reporting
Regularly audits new hires preboarding activities and collaborates with hiring managers and unit HR to confirm completion of required task(s). Completes self-audits to ensure integrity of data entered into the system.
10% Special Projects
Provides support to team members, feedback on processes and procedures, and participates in various projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Requires 1 year of experience in a customer service or human resource environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Detail oriented and comfortable with a high volume of work.
Knowledge of Form I-9 requirements and various types of employment authorization in the United States.
Ability to problem solve in a dynamic environment
Proficient written and oral communication
Familiarity with Workday
