Job Title: Construction Inventory & Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to support our construction operations by managing equipment tracking, materials inventory, purchasing, receiving, and shipping. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth flow of materials and equipment on and off job sites, while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient reporting using Excel spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update inventory records for construction materials and equipment.

Track construction equipment usage, location, and maintenance schedules.

Coordinate purchasing of materials and supplies based on project needs.

Oversee receiving and shipping processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Conduct routine inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Prepare detailed reports and logs using advanced Excel functions (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and vendors to ensure efficient logistics.

Monitor stock levels and forecast needs to prevent shortages or excess.

Maintain digital and physical filing systems for procurement and inventory documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures related to materials handling.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field—preferably in the construction industry.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced features.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, construction management, or business is a plus.

Preferred:

Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and equipment.
