WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse for a 13-week contract at a prestigious hospital in Vernon, CT.

Job Function:

Night Shift.

7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Manage the care of adult and pediatric patients with life-threatening conditions, requiring complex assessments and high-intensity interventions.

Offer emotional support, education, and comfort to patients and their families throughout the emergency room experience.

Collaborate closely with healthcare team members and independently identify the need for early intervention.

Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic procedures, ensuring all pre-operative needs are met.

Perform a variety of medical procedures, including IV insertion, intubation, medication administration, blood draws, and more.

Job Requirements:

2 years of acute care experience in the relevant specialty.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Active State RN license (or willingness to obtain).

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
