WCS Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Buffalo, NY!

Job Function:

Prepare, administer (orally, subcutaneously, or via IV), and accurately record prescribed medications.

Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments, following established nursing policies and procedures.

Educate patients on upcoming surgical procedures and post-operative care instructions.

Record patients' medical information, vital signs, and maintain accurate documentation in medical records.

Monitor, adjust, and interpret specialized medical equipment and electronic displays used in patient care.

Job Requirements:

2 years of recent experience in a Surgical ICU required.

18-24 months (minimum) of paid Tele RN experience required.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Current NY State RN license.

BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

AHA NIHSS certification required.

Proficiency in operating EKG equipment and interpreting EKGs.
