Amentum is looking for a Computer Engineer to support Verification and Validation of ASICs and/or FPGAs for high reliability military systems and security purposes.
This position will also support technology development for multiple programs in support of NSWC Crane's Trusted Microelectronics Division and their various Navy and Air Force customers.
Major duties include: * Hardware Description Language (HDL) coding * Testing to ensure ASICs and/or FPGAs are free of design flaws and security concerns * Software development to automate EDA tool flows * Development of software in a team environment to aid in the assessment of microelectronics.
Use of revision control software is required.
* Test/Debug software developed * Statistical Analysis of data resulting from testing efforts * Assist Electrical Engineer with the setup and operation of microelectronic devices * Identify new testing methodologies * Assist with electrical/electronic technology assessment efforts * Knowledge of digital design methodologies, and an understanding of basic digital design blocks are a requirement Minimum Requirements: * Bachelors or graduate degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering 1-5 years of experience * System Verilog or VHDL * ASIC or FPGA Digital Design * Digital Building Blocks (UART, SPI, etc) * Active clearance or ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance (please note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a US secret clearance) Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge and understanding of the following: * Engineering software programming including HDL, C/C++, Python, Perl, and MATLAB * Knowledge and understanding of Register Transfer Language (RTL) * Digital ASIC Verification * Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) * Linux * Electronic Design Automation Tools (Siemens, Cadence, Synopsys) * Test Bench Creation * Logic Equivalence Checking (LEC) * Layout vs.
