Primary Responsibilities For The Engineer - Lean Improvement:
Responsible for disposition of non-compliant material through rework remediation or scrap determination.
Primary operator support for material quality determination and routing reviews.
Aids development and deployment of visual management tools to support production goals.
Recommend process improvements using data analysis, lean manufacturing tools, and visual process controls to optimize quality, reduce lead time and eliminate waste.
Integrate appropriate tool use into recommendations (flow, quality, lead time, changeovers, waste elimination).
Actively engaged in ensuring a safe workplace and continually emphasizes importance of safety.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. Required For The Engineer - Lean Improvement:
At least one year of engineering and/or lean working experience is preferred.
Entry Level Prior knowledge and practical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting with exposure to Lean Manufacturing operations preferred.
Prior knowledge/experience with the Toyota Production System is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment with multiple deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Education:
College degree in Engineering discipline preferred.
