About The Position
The GIS Analyst – Distribution is responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of the electric and/or gas distribution or transmission geospatial databases and applications, performing geospatial data analysis, creating various maps and other visualizations for incorporation into reports and or presentations and responding to assigned tasks and requests for information from a variety of parties.
Key responsibilities include:
Participate in the design, build, test and deployment phases of the GIS Replacement Project
Provide quality control with regard to data capture, data conversion and data evaluation
Provide support in the management and maintenance of GIS environments and applications
Manipulate and analyze GIS data to create information products for GIS customer requests
Develop and apply GIS solutions to meet customer requests
Work with GIS and IT resources to develop, maintain and enhance systems
Assist with setting GIS goals and objectives
Collect and organize data for visual representation
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with GIS and related software
Assist in the development and delivery of training for system users
Subject to emergency call-out, including damage assessment/inspection during emergency storm restoration events with potential for considerable walking over rough terrain in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology or related technical field required. One or more years of GIS experience preferred. Experience with ESRI based products is preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proficiency with MS Windows and standard MS Office software required. Excellent administrative and organizational skills required. The ideal candidate must have proven problem solving skills as well as attention to detail. Effective communication in a team environment and exceptional interpersonal skills also required.

Compensation Range:$59,100.00 - $88,700.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
