Job Summary

Supervisor, Central Stores at the Health & Wellness Center is responsible for managing personnel and the day to day operations of the Central Stores department

Reports to:

Job Specific Responsibilities

Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for day-day operations of Central Stores and Central Receiving

• Participate in hiring, career development, employee engagement opportunities, corrective disciplinary actions, weekly audits, performance development conversations, and annual performance evaluations

• Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products.

• Perform various inventory counts, order supplies and goods to ensure daily inventory accuracy and proper adjustments are made in a timely manner

• Plan, direct, procure equipment and supplies for the department; Identifying alternatives to the supply distribution process which might improve overall efficiencies and implement changes.

• Identify areas for improvement within the Central Stores and Central Receiving Department with measurable metrics and implement those processes (including but not limited to cart audits, open order audits, and/or storage location audits) to ensure the efficiency of the department.

• All other related assigned duties

Education and Experience

• + 2 years of prior experience with inventory, warehouse, and/or shipping and receiving

• + 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing people and or processes

Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations

• N/A

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lead people with various backgrounds

• Good mathematical skills to perform accurate inventory and supply counts

• Excellent problem solving and time management skills

Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships

The position requires close interaction with multiple ancillary departments throughout the hospital in order to facilitate a quality multi-disciplinary approach to patient care

Physical Capabilities

Work is medium demand; requires lifting items that could weigh up to 100 lbs, reach heights of up to 6ft, as well as bend to the floor. Incumbent should be in reasonably good physical condition and able to stand for extended periods of time on concrete surface.

This position is subject to varying indoor temperature changes.
