Description:
Assemble:
Under supervision, learns and participates in the building of subassembly and finished goods.
Learn to read, comprehend, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings and work instructions.
Perform all work in accordance with time standards while maintaining quality standards and safety procedures.
Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning, and labeling.
Assemble using hand tools and power tools.
Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other compounds.
Work with various sized materials.
Solder and assemble various components.
Identify product defects and report to trainer/leader.
Handling of sensitive materials and equipment.
Maintain equipment and a clean and safe work environment.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Identifies low inventory and communicates appropriate.
Setup and use test equipment to record, compile and evaluate data.
Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Assist in other functional areas when/if necessary.
Continuous Improvement:
Participates in process improvement activities.
Supports other facility related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Training:
Will be trained on specific product(s) and processes as directed by leader.
May train others as needed with leader direction.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills/Knowledge:
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
Basic computer skills
Ability to understand quality control principles
Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
Ability to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to keep records of production quantities and time
Ability to work well with others and within a team environment
Willingness to switch tasks frequently when required
Self-motivation skills
High attention to detail
Soldering experience is desired, but not required
