We're looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join a seasoned leadership team at our facility in Murphy, NC. This role is responsible for the overall direction and execution of the company's HR strategies, initiatives, and operations. You will collaborate with the facility leadership team to develop plans to deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external business partners. The successful candidate will be experienced working in a Generalist role with some Specialist knowledge (benefits for example) as you will be interfacing with a corporate HR team. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and has one (1) direct report - Human Resource Administrator.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute HR strategies that align with company goals and objectives
Partner with plant leadership to provide guidance on HR matters to support business growth and performance
Lead initiatives focused on organizational development to enhance associate engagement and operational efficiency
Address and resolve associate relations issues, ensuring consistent application of company policies
Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and associate discipline
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and on-boarding processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Develop and monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and drive improvements
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that promotes continuous learning and improvement
Ensure that the Murphy location is always a Great Place to Work
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
7 - 10 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc.) is preferred
Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR-related software
Regular Full-Time
