Countertop Fabricator (1st Shift

Full Time

L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered

L.E. Smith is looking for a 1st shift Fabricator who is able to work from 5am-3pm Monday through Thursday. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files.

Responsibilities:

Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routers

Cutting and assembling countertops to specified sizes

Cutting and applying build-up

Banding countertops

Fabrication of applied edge tops

Installation of sinks into countertops

Gluing and laying laminate

Cutting and finishing backsplashes.

Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops

Filing/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality check

Basic CNC Machine operation

Cleaning and maintaining work areas

Requirements of the Role:

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.

Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity skills.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.

Ability to read, write, follow instructions, perform mathematical calculations.

Ability to read prints, a tape measure and operate hand tools.

What We Offer:

A Full-time 1st Shift Position With a 4-day Work Week (5am-3pm Monday through Thursday)

Pay Rate $16.00 per hour
