Accounting Manager: Freeport, Illinois

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Accounting Managers to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations and ensuring accurate, compliant accounting practices.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

Perform bank reconciliations and manage AP/AR

Oversee payroll processing with accuracy and compliance

Handle insurance matters and IRA contributions

Maintain financial records using QuickBooks Enterprise (preferred)

Support administrative tasks and answer phones during peak hours

Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations

Accounting Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (more preferred)

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Experience with payroll, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations

Ability to handle insurance-related duties and IRA contributions

Must pass an extensive background check

Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise Version is a plus

Strong communication and multitasking skills

Pay for Accounting Manager: Starting at $26-28/hour.
