We have an opening for a Night Shift Outside Warehouse Packing Material Forklift Operator.
Summary
Safely operates forklift and performs warehousing duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Operates forklift to safely load and unload trailers at the production warehouse and outside warehouses as needed. Always operates forklift always at a reasonable and prudent speed, watching closely for pedestrians or other motorized vehicles.
Use forklift to load finished goods onto trailer. Unload materials and uses a scan gun to receive and transfer materials to production warehouse locations. Moves materials to proper location with the scan gun.
Stages materials in staging area by line numbers per production schedule
Follow FIFO material rotation guidelines.
Cycle counts material accurately and turn counts into there supervisor.
Completes Pre-Operational Checklist each day before operating lift. Reports all forklift damage or malfunction to supervisor.
Takes pallets stockroom as needed
Takes pallets to the gift shop and stack cases in the gift shop
Maintains and reports accurately data for all merchandise movement.
Restack damaged finished goods on pallet as needed.
Cleans floor of production warehouse and outside warehouses, trailers, loading docks, and exterior areas around warehouses.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Other Duties
Delivers incoming merchandise received by the warehouse to proper department.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written or verbal instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school plus additional training preferred. Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. Ability to speak, read and write in English needed for job tasks. Certified forklift operator.

Machines, Equipment, Tools Used
Forklift, Stretch Wrap Machine, Calculator, own or company vehicle, and air hose.
Physical Demands
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a high position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
The employee is required to have eye/hand/foot coordination to operate forklift.
Work Environment
Works inside warehouse, subject to significant seasonal temperature variations. Fumes from forklifts. Some contact with dust, oil, ink, and grease. Steel-toed shoes required.
