● Present a skateboarding/BMX program through cheerful, helpful, and efficient service

● Demonstrate skillful wheel sports abilities and teach customers how to achieve these skills

● Provide intentional and cheerful instruction to novice riders in BMX/skate

● Assist in the set up and takedown of BMX/skate facilities

● Ensure the safety of all participants in skateboard/BMX activities

● Turn paperwork into supervisor accurately and timely

● Assist other wheel programs as needed

● Maintenance of Skate/BMX equipment and facilities

● Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat and safe work area

● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualifications & Training

● 18 years of age or older

● Preferred: Experience teaching or riding skateboarding or BMX

● Preferred: Experience maintaining skateboards or bikes

● Preferred: Experience maintaining skateparks or BMX tracks

● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

● Be or become a registered member of Scouting AmericaPerformance Results

● Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences

● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants

● Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant

● Contribute at least one improvement to the Skate/BMX programPhysical Requirements

● Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

● Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HEREUniform
