The CNC Operator / Digital Fabrication Specialist is the cornerstone of our fabrication and installation team, responsible for orchestrating the operation of various CNC platforms for digital fabrication projects.Key Responsibilities
Operate a variety of CNC and robotic platforms within the workshop (3- and 5-axis machines, laser, plasma, 3D printing, etc)
Create, edit, and run CNC cut files and machine code (MasterCAM) for diverse project needs
Manipulate 2D and 3D models for machining and design of custom tooling/fixtures
Perform equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
Follow and prioritize safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
Ensure precision and consistency between physical output and digital designs
Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet exact design specifications
Track and manage inventory of CNC-related materials to ensure availability and reduce waste
Utilize the latest technology, tools, software, and workflows. Must be comfortable learning and adapting to new tech as we continuously upgrade our systems.
Support production planning by collaborating with the fabrication director and other departments
Independently solve technical issues and develop machining strategies for complex parts
Traveling install support as needed
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience as CNC operator, digital fabrication, or commercial additive manufacturing
Strong experience in CAD/CAM programming and foam cutting
Proficiency in MasterCAM, RhinoCAM
Proven track record of successful operation of 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines
Solid understanding of standard milling and turning, and general machine shop practices
Experience in machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
Experience designing and programming custom jigs, fixtures, and toolpaths
Forklift or heavy machinery certification is a plus

The position is located in Conshohocken, PA, which is in close proximity to Philadelphia.
Full-time
