Description:

Who are we?

Komodor is a cutting-edge Kubernetes Platform provider. Our dev-first solution streamlines Kubernetes operations across various environments, offering application and infrastructure engineers a unified platform to optimize cost and control. We aim to simplify the developer experience, enhance efficiency, and bridge the gap between application and infra teams – all while empowering companies to focus more on innovation and less on Kubernetes management. With $67M in funding raised, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what our platform can do.

Core mission:

As a Senior Backend Developer, your main responsibility will be designing and developing Go-based services that run on our customers’ Kubernetes clusters. These include agents, operators, and controllers – components that communicate directly with the Kubernetes API and enable real-time observability, automation, and troubleshooting.

Your mission is to build robust, secure, and scalable backend systems that are the heartbeat of our product, and ensure they perform smoothly across thousands of clusters. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team of product managers, DevOps engineers, and fellow developers to take features from idea to production.

What will you do:

Build and maintain Komodor’s core backend systems – with a focus on Kubernetes-native components

Design and develop Golang-based agents, operators, and CRDs that interact with customer environments

Optimize performance, stability, and resource efficiency in Kubernetes deployments

Own feature delivery end-to-end: from ideation, design, to production rollout

Collaborate with your team to plan and prioritize features with the highest impact

Be part of a fast-paced, CI/CD-first environment

Who are you:

A backend developer with hands-on approach

4+ years of backend development experience, with 3+ years in Golang - Must

Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, especially in areas like CRDs, DaemonSets, Operators, or sidecars

Experience writing code that runs on or interacts deeply with Kubernetes clusters

Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch) – a plus

You live and breathe microservices, containers, and cloud-native tools

Not afraid to dive into system-level problems (infra, networking, performance)

Highly dedicated individual with a “can-do” approach

Team player who thrives in collaborative environments

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent – a plus
