We are seeking a highly motivated CMM Programmer to join our innovative team at ALIGN Precision!

Summary:

Responsibilities:

Must be proficient using PC-DMIS & Calypso.

Write direct computer-controlled CMM programs utilizing PC-DMIS software related to the ballooned drawing, take setup photos, and create setup instructions.

Prove out CMM programs and verify accuracy when discrepancies arise.

Assist machinists and operators in understanding and verifying any discrepancies found during CMM first piece or in-process checks to improve the part quality.

Performs inspections of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.

Analyze and interpret blueprints, models, evaluation sheets, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods.

Collect and analyze inspection data and make computations as necessary to determine inspection results and perform first article inspections.

Apply strong GD&T skills according to ISO and ASME standards to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM programming and measurement processes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum accuracy.

Maintain and update CMM programs, documentation, and records in accordance with aerospace industry standards.

Conduct first article inspections and generate detailed inspection reports for aerospace components.

Communicate information to others about inspection results, part status, updates, specific instructions, etc., and participate in PFMEA activities.

Identifies and develops processes and equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components.

Plan and work as a key production team member to ensure high-quality products and on-time delivery.

Ensure strict compliance with all aerospace quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.

Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.

Qualifications:

3-5 years PC-DMIS & Calypso

3-5 years of Quality experience preferred.

Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Strong proficiency interpreting GD&T standards highly desired.

Able to use quality inspection hand tools.

Strong knowledge of surface plate inspection techniques, measuring tools, and gages.

Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
