Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead, schedule, and supervise a team of fire alarm service technicians.
Coordinate daily service work, scheduling with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), and managing emergency service calls.
Serve as a point of escalation for service issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and prompt resolution.
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of fire alarm systems and components.
Assist technicians in the field as necessary, providing technical support and guidance.
Read and interpret fire alarm system drawings, specifications, and applicable construction documents.
Ensure that all service activities are documented properly and communicated back to project managers, CSRs, and/or the customer.
Identify opportunities for improvements in service delivery, efficiency, and customer experience.
Maintain compliance with applicable NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and building codes.
Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork among the service team.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of fire alarm installation, service, or inspection experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience supervising or managing fire alarm or low-voltage technicians.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm system components, troubleshooting techniques, and applicable codes (NFPA 72, NFPA 70).
NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems is highly desirable.
California State Fire Life Safety Technician (Blue Card) a plus.
Strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to manage a team across multiple service projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional customer interaction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, iOS/Android applications, and scheduling platforms.
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Compensation:
$38 - $42/hour depending on experience
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand for 8 hours, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
