Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Revit CAD Drafter to join our engineering team. In this role, youll play a critical part in producing accurate, high-quality drawings and models for a variety of engineering projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and has a strong working knowledge of Revit in an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for electrical and mechanical systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Develop construction documents including plans, sections, elevations, and details in accordance with industry and company standards
Prepare wiring diagrams, panel schedules, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts
Coordinate drawing packages with engineers, project managers, and other drafters to ensure accuracy and consistency
Support the Engineering Change Control (ECN) process and maintain drawing documentation in accordance with company QA/QC procedures
Assist in developing as-built drawings following construction completion
Maintain organized file systems for project drawings and support documentation
Stay current with industry standards, drafting practices, and software tools
Requirements:
Associates degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 25 years of drafting experience in engineering or construction environments
Proficient in AutoCAD (required); Revit or BIM experience is a strong plus
Understanding of NEC, NFPA, and general electrical/mechanical drafting standards is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience in utilities, or infrastructure projects preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Must have experience in detailed technical drawings for mechanical components, electrical systems, plumbing layouts, infrastructure, or industrial equipment. Understanding of NEC, NFPA, and general electrical/mechanical drafting standards.
