Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our machining department. The primary responsibility of this role involves taking incoming material and preparing it for machinists by cutting it down to specifications provided in job travelers. Strong attention to detail is crucial as even minor deviations can result in significant material waste due to very tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
Read job travelers to identify the correct material.
Cut materials to the specified length.
Prepare and send materials to machinists.
Operate saws and other fabrication equipment.
Maintain precise measurements and adhere to tight tolerances.
Utilize blueprints and tape measures accurately.Essential Skills
At least 6 months of experience operating saws or working in a shop environment running fabrication equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Strong tape measure skills.
Experience with drill presses, bandsaws, and grinding tools.
Exceptional attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
Our facility operates with a start time between 5 am and 7 am, which becomes established once you are settled in. Our company has grown to be a well-recognized provider of custom fabricated and machined components for various local and national clients.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.75/hr.
