Job Summary

The Social Media Content Intern will learn from and support the Social Media Marketing Specialist in creating content for OVHcloud US social media channels. Their content creation focus will be on video. The intern will be responsible for tasks from all stages of the video creation process which include pre-production, production, filming and postproduction. Familiarity with film equipment and editing is crucial for this role. Additionally, content creation projects will include photography and graphic design. The objective of this role is to create content in line with the marketing objectives of marketing and product campaigns. Successful candidates for the Social Media Content Intern position will be highly creative, passionate, and proactive.

Base Pay: $20/HR

Responsibilities and projects

Introduce creative ideas for content and videos.

Prepare footage to be edited which includes scrubbing through filmed footage (“dailies”) to pick selects, syncing audio and video channels, and organizing footage into bins.

Edit footage, balance audio levels, simple color correction in Premiere (white balance, contrast, exposure, etc.)

Set up cameras, lights, microphones, and set design for filming

Apply camera settings and serve as first or second camera person during video filming

Take pictures in the office or at company events

Execute simple photo editing (white balance, exposure, color correction)

Minimum Requirements

Current student pursuing bachelor’s or graduate level education in related field

Knowledge of Premiere Pro editing software

Knowledge of Motion graphic animation in Canva or After Effects

Understands camera settings

Ability to work remotely using company provided equipment in a secure environment with access to Wifi

Ability to sit or stand for long periods during filming and ability to lift 20 pounds

Must be a current resident of Fairfax County (not City of Fairfax or City of Falls Church)

Working Conditions

Typical office working conditions involve a seated desk, computer use, and a controlled temperature environment. Lighting is a combination of natural and artificial sources, while noise levels can vary based on the nature of work and occupancy.
