Job Description
As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Technician at Veolia, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems that monitor and regulate water, wastewater, and industrial processes. You'll ensure the reliability and performance of critical systems in alignment with safety, environmental, and company standards.
Key Characteristics
Install, test, and calibrate a variety of field instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level, analytical)
Troubleshoot and repair control systems including PLCs and automated valve systems
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems
Assist in control system upgrades and integration of new process instrumentation
Duties & Responsibilities
Reads and interprets technical documentation such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment manuals
Develops and/or redline P&IDs, electrical drawings/schematics, control documents, and transfer lists
Maintains accurate maintenance and calibration records
Work closely with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to support plant performance and reliability
Ensure all work is conducted safely and complies with Veolia's EHS policies and regulatory requirements
Troubleshoot and install new equipment as required
Work with the Production Manager, the Membrane Supervisor, and the COE team on NSC plant projects
Set-up and troubleshoot Ethernet based networks to allow connectivity for remote monitoring and/or remote support
Assist service team in troubleshooting mobile equipment turns
Other duties as required

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems
Proficiency in PLC and SAP systems
Familiarity with loop tuning, process control strategies, and calibration procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Utilize design documents including Control Logic Diagrams, Shutdown Keys, Loop Diagrams,
Instrument Indices, Setpoint Lists, DCS and PLC Design documents to commission and troubleshoot control systems
Education & Experience Required:
Associate's degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Automation, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation/control, preferably in water, wastewater, or environmental services
Working experience and understanding of fieldbus networks (Controlnet, Devicenet, Foundation Fieldbus)
Demonstrated skills and experience regarding the training of others and development of automation training programs
Preferred:
Ideal candidates will possess 2+ years' experience minimum as a trainer
Experience with ALLEN BRADLEY and FANUC preferred
ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
OSHA 10/30 certification
Confined Space and Lockout/Tagout trained
Working Conditions
Frequently required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces
Exposure to various weather conditions and industrial environments
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to travel in support of domestic and international trips; anticipated travel up to 5%
Please Note: This role requires the selected candidate to report to the Norfolk Service Center daily
