Position Overview:

The Service Management and Global Operations department at Freddie Mac is in the process of building out tools which help automate manual processes, transition away from vendor specific solutions, and help streamline our operating landscape. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, we are looking for a Highly Innovative Technical Leader. One who will lead by being hands on, in the trenches with the other developers. You will get to show off your skills as a full stack software engineer influencing outcomes, guiding transformation, putting your stamp on how the team and organization evolves. Your Impact:

We are searching for a highly innovative individual to Lead our development team of 4-6 developers bringing our vision of a well-designed object-oriented solution to life. We need you to use your object-oriented design and development experience as well as your previous leadership success in transforming, implementing, teaching, and mentoring to get us even closer to a true, zero operations end goal.

Qualifications:

Previous leadership experience, accountable for output of a team of 4-6 developers

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.

Typically has 8-10 years related experience and experience leading modernized development teams.

5+ years of experience with Angular.

8-10 years of experience with Java.

You are rock solid on your tech. You know the modern approaches, languages, technologies and how to use them in a cloud-based architecture.

You embody Agile delivery at the core of your culture

You are truly “full stack” and know how to take a product from inception to operations, with a key focus on future extensibility as well as quality.

You understand and embrace the importance of automated testing and the supporting tooling

You will be a mentor to the team driving full (and correct) adoption of modern software engineering & Delivery practices (Real Agile, TDD, ATDD, Stateless Design, Microservices, Containerization, etc.)

You have experience leading a team with various skill levels and diverse experiences

You are ready to learn and not afraid to work to integrate with legacy technology

You have proven success coaching and transforming technical teams to shift to modern execution model

You have strong communication skills; you will be responsible for interfacing and influencing with the others across the technology organization.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $154,000 - $230,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
