This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80-room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re-opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean-Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics center.
Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional is a full-time year-round position involved in all areas of the golf operation, including: daily golf shop operations, member/guest relations, tee time management, outside services supervision, event management, interdepartmental communications, and merchandising. This position will Assist the Head Golf Professional and the 1st Assistant Golf Professional.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and train golf attendants.
Manage and supervise daily operations of golf cars, including: maintenance; rotation; cleanliness; parts; and cleaning supplies.
Manage and supervise bag storage, including: billing; alpha and numeric list; club cleanliness inspections; and guest check in procedures.
Manage and supervise the practice facility. Includes: golf ball inventory; deletion of damaged and dated balls; new ball rotation; cleanliness of golf balls; and practice facility supplies.
Maintain club rental sets: inventory; cleanliness; repairs.
Maintain proper handicap records for the membership and run reports at the beginning of each month.
Oversee lost and found program: policies and procedures.
Perform “staple items” stock count at the beginning of each month. Includes: tees, pencils, scorecards, towels, ball markers, range balls, range bags, cleaning supplies, merchandise bags, etc.
Maintain personal golf skills at a high level. 10. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations. Golf Genius and Northstar Must be computer literate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work flexible shifts. Including Weekends and Holidays. SUPERVISION Position functions with supervision.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Must be in the PGA Association, in good standing, and working towards a Class A if not certified already.
