Shuttle Driver

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure new vehicles are driven and parked in assigned areas according to manufacturer’s specifications
Inspects cars to detect damage and to verify presence of accessories listed on invoice
Move vehicles from staging areas to shipping bay location
Ensure yard quality standards are maintained
Must be able to follow directions and consistently follow procedures
Must adhere to AAR and safety procedures
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Maintain a positive behavior and conduct in the workplace while acting and communicating with customers, vendors, co-workers and management
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent
Must have and maintain a valid State driver’s license and must have a good driving record
Must be able to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
Must be able to pass the AWC’s driver’s safety test with an 80% accuracy or better
Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
Must be able to move 40-80 vehicles per day
Walk continuously throughout the day
Associates must be able to work as a team or individually depending on workload
Must be at least 18 years of age
Previous experience in a distribution center environment helpful.
Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including other departments, brands, locations, and mandatory overtime.
Meet productivity standards after successfully completing training.
Must be a team player and able to work well with others.
Comply with all safety, hazardous material and OSHA training, rules, and reporting, ensuring a safe work environment.
Ability to comply with COVID-19 procedure: social distancing, wearing of a mask, etc.
Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time, up to 10 hours per day.
Ability to lift to 75 lbs. on a continuous basis for 100% of working hours.
Ability to frequently lift cartons above (up to 8 feet overhead) or below shoulder level.
Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, and stoop on a repetitive basis.
Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to include grasping and holding
