Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

Scope of Work:

Electrical Room Maintenance:

Clean and organize electrical rooms.

Sweep the workspace, restock shelves, and dispose of outdated equipment.

Drive and Vent Maintenance:

Change filters on VFD drives.

Perform preventive maintenance by changing out ceiling vent filters.

Meter Reading:

Read meters to check pressure stabilization.

Report any leaks or discrepancies as directed by the Battelle maintenance lead.

Fire Safety Maintenance:

Inspect and ensure fire extinguishers and suppression systems are up-to-date and pressurized.

Schedule services for equipment nearing expiration.

Safety Equipment Testing:

Inspect and test safety showers and eye wash stations.

Ensure proper water flow and conduct flushing if necessary.

Roof and Drain Cleaning:

Clear roof and roof drains of any plugs and debris.

Plumbing Repairs:

Replace batteries and sensors for touchless dispensers in toilets and sinks as needed.

Grounds and Parking Lot Cleanup:

Pick up large items from the grounds and maintain cleanliness.

HVAC Assistance:

Assist with rooftop unit filter changes.

Equipment Cleaning:

Clean air handlers, towers, and chiller tubes.

Ensure all gauges are within operational ranges and equipment is functioning properly.

Mechanical Room and Tunnel Cleaning:

Keep mechanical rooms clean and organized.

Remove debris and miscellaneous supplies from tunnels.
