About the Role
In accordance with the philosophy of U.S. Urology Partners, the CT Technologist will administer direct care to patients, under the direct supervision of a physician. This position is responsible for the Company Vision "To be the prominent urology practice in central Ohio, and beyond, with a reputation for delivering excellent and effective care in all urologic modalities. By providing full-service urology to the patients and communities we serve, there will be greater satisfaction as well as patient and physician loyalty which will allow U.S. Urology Partners continued success and growth."
What You'll Be Doing
Performs basic medical procedures to be performed under the supervision of a physician. For example: start IV's, administer contrast media, and vital signs
Collects and documents patient data - posting charges, creating chart notes
Administers medication, according to the organization standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines as needed during an allergic reaction event
Scans patients according to the ALARA guidelines
Assists with maintaining clean, neat office environment
Maintains functioning of the CT scanner - cleans equipment, performs QA as deemed necessary by governing entities such as OSHA, ARRT, and Ohio Department of Health
Cleans and stocks room
Participates in medical supply management - ordering all medical, surgical and any other pertinent supplies related to the operations of Central Ohio Urology Group
Assists in documentation of inventory
Attends required in-service training (OSHA, HIPPA)
Performs other duties as assigned
Exceptional customer service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relationship skills required for interaction with contacts
Strong organizational skills required
Participates in and coordinates with the organizational process to collect and evaluate information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify safety management issues. Adheres to established policies and procedures, which include the use of personal protective equipment.
Participates and fosters a performance improvement approach that includes both clinical and business activities What We Expect from You
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program with board certification in CT
Demonstrates effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Possess ability to work without supervision
Possess ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures
Electronic Medical Records Experience
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
