Job Duties:
Requires thorough knowledge of accounting systems and procedures to independently or as a lead worker, research and analyze complex information to resolve errors, modify data and/or determine appropriate action with external involvement, and/or administer the fiscal aspects of grants
Administers and performs variety of fiscal and/or assist in performing grant and budgetary functions for assigned area
Collaborates with program office to assemble, review, analyze documents for grant applications of assigned grant awards, including payroll (wage/fringe), encumbrances, expenditure, asset management, subawards, contract, travel and task force overtime and asset forfeiture
Analyzes financial documents and reports for accuracy and compliance with fiscal guidelines and grant awards
Compares program administrators request to purchases, contracts and travel documents to grant award scope and budget
Uses spreadsheets, databases and paper documents to compile status reports and financial information for quarterly reporting, draw down cash reimbursements and close-out reporting
Maintains files of grant awards, modifications and financial documents
Prepares grant and financial information, reports and data to the grant administrator and program administrator
Communicates verbally and in writing to questions and concerns regarding grant and fiscal guidelines and compliance issues
Manage confidential budgetary and grant award, financial information and/or records Performs assigned duties timely, effectively and accurately during certain high-volume deadline driven periods of the grant life cycle and State fiscal year
Serves as a liaison in seeking grant guidelines adherence and/or providing resolution assistance
Prepares for internal and external audits of assigned grants
Assists the grant administrator with identifying, compiling and scanning and saving electronic documentation onto the designated IT server and/or paper documentation making available to the audit staff
Answers, replies, locates and/or identifies all award and financial information requests by the auditor, grant administrator and supporting program administrator.
30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field; 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
-Or 12 mos. exp. as Sourcing Analyst, 64512.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
