What You will Achieve:

With our continued growth in the Transmission & Distribution sector, we are seeking a Transmission Line Engineer. You will be involved with a wide range of challenging and high-impact transmission projects from greenfield line development and storm hardening to renewable energy interconnections and voltage upgrades.

Our Power Group provides full-service engineering and design solutions for utility, institutional, and commercial clients across the U.S., with a strong focus on reliability, sustainability, and innovation.

Some of your responsibilities are:

Perform detailed design and engineering for overhead transmission and sub-transmission lines, including structure and foundation design, conductor/optical ground wire hardware selection, and line routing.

Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and bill of materials.

Use industry-standard tools such as PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE/TOWER, MFAD for line design and modeling.

Conduct structural analysis, loading calculations, and clearance verifications.

Collaborate with civil, environmental, permitting, real estate, survey department, control center, substation, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure designs comply with industry codes, and client-specific standards.

Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge of transmission line design tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE/TOWER, or MFAD.

Understanding of industry codes and standards.

EIT highly preferred

The compensation that we expect to pay for this position is commensurate with experience, education, skill sets, licensure and location but may be in the range of $80,000 to $110,000 dollars. Please connect with us for more details.
