Required skills for this job include:
Build and maintain software applications for our customers
Ability to program in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript), including web and enterprise applications
Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, support), and seek to constantly make improvements and increased efficiencies
Oversee the performance of applications to ensure they run properly
Experience with Git-based source control and pull requests for feature-based development
Experience with cloud-based computing (e.g., AWS, Azure)
2+ years of Python experience
Understanding of REST APIs
Experienced developing and executing unit tests, troubleshooting and debugging applications
Sharp critical and analytical thinking skills and keen attention to detail
Collaborate with teammates to ensure applications align with the organization’s goals, as well as customer needs
Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative as possible
Work with product team to plan new features, gather requirements, and propose solutions
Establish and adhere to standards and best practices
Work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices
Promote adoption of web applications standards
Help foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking
4+ years of professional experience
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or comparable academic discipline
Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US Citizenship)
Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen
Desired skills for this position:
Certification in application development
A solid understanding and appreciation for Agile tools, processes, and methodology
Experience with Databricks or RDBMS technologies
Ability to interact well in a team environment and experience working as part of a development team
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of timelines and budgets
Excellent time management skills
Proficiency with project tracking software (e.g., Jira)
Ability to work with new technologies while demonstrating drive, adaptability, and creative thinking
Strong communication skills
