IT Technologist (Deskside Support)
Position Overview:
East Tennessee company is seeking a IT Technologist to support onsite users. Serve as a primary point of contact for onsite staff seeking information technology assistance and will provide a wide range of computing support services. Candidates must be able to pass a background/drug screen. No Corp to Corp.
Required Qualifications
Provide in-person (deskside) user support.
Serve as an escalation point for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and operating systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
Application troubleshooting including Teams.
Configuration and support of web browsers.
Research and identify solutions to problems using a variety of resources.
Create and review Knowledge Base articles for the group.
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Exhibit a customer service mindset while solving problems independently or collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree and/or a minimum of three years directly related experience supporting IT initiative.
Knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of ITIL principles
Knowledge of diverse computing environments.
Knowledge of the ServiceNow’s ITIL management system
Knowledge and experience working with supported software: e.g. Adobe; Entrust; etc.
Familiarity and knowledge of IT systems, SBMS, and other processes unique to ORNL and provide and assist users with these products.
Provide executive level technical support
