REPORT TO: Direction of Quality

SUMMARY:

Develop and implement quality systems with an emphasis on product returns, complaint management, and overall root cause and corrective action measures to drive the CAPA, optimize new product development within a manufacturing environment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze system data to determine major contributors to poor performing processes.

Part of cross functional team in developing and improving Quality activities.

Acts as a subject matter expert for data acquisition and other Quality software.

Performs other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their manager.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze production and supplier nonconformance data to determine cause.

Analyze customer returns to determine underlying root causes in a timely manner.

Improve QMS procedures/documents that align with ISO Standards.

Root cause analysis of CAPA process using DMAIC methodology and 8D/5 Why tools.

Under supervision to create PFMEA and Capability Studies for customer deliverables and to improve manufacturing processes.

Review and verify Engineering / Customer prints

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

0-3 years of Quality Engineering experience.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Master’s degree preferred or Equivalent work experience.

Manufacturing environment experience a plus.

Experience with measuring tools and Equipment.

GD&T/Engineering prints a plus.

Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.

Basic knowledge of quality systems – statistics, and sampling.

Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems standards a plus.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Frequently lifts, carries, or moves objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
