Middle School Math Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated certified Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for integrating technology into the curriculum and fostering a love for learning in our students.

QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The Teacher should display a commitment to Jesus Christ demonstrated in professional and personal life, a commitment to Christian education; a calling to the ministry of meeting the educational needs of children and young adults; Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; organized; team player.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required; Instructional Technology certification (State or ACSI) is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years classroom teaching experience in Christian education preferred. A working knowledge of differentiating school curricula to meet student needs..

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Implement grade and age-level-appropriate applications of educational technology in the classroom to support, enhance, and increase student learning.

Research and implement best practices in educational technology and create lessons that will incorporate learning goals.

Provide enrichment support for students functioning on or above grade level.

Assist in providing ongoing professional development for teachers to support the use of technology for classroom instruction at differentiated levels to meet all students' needs.

Model educational technology strategies for teachers demonstrating best practices and research-based instruction with students.

Ensure consistent implementation of school curriculum initiatives as it applies to technology.

Maintain a program of individual professional growth.

Promote FBA and the principles of Kingdom Education.

Participate in spiritual activities at FBA such as prayer, devotions, Bible study and chapel.

Complete all reporting duties and other paperwork assigned.

Prepare Lesson Plans for all instructional activities.

Maintain proper classroom discipline.

Schedule conferences with parents or students as needed.

Observe the Matthew 18 principle in conflict resolution.

Fulfill all duties as assigned by the school administration.
