We are seeking candidates to fill the position of Senior Water Resources Engineer to serve a varied client base and help expand our Water Resources Practice in Ohio. We currently have office locations in Dayton, Lima, and Cleveland, but also offer remote or hybrid work options.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.

Pay: 91,000 – 140,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

SENIOR WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plan and design a wide range of water resources engineering, public utilities, and private development projects. Key project types: stream/wetland restoration; dam remediation; No-rise/LOMR/CLOMR local and FEMA floodplain analysis/permitting; culvert and bridge replacement; stormwater planning and design; watershed studies; asset management; site/civil development design; asset management; design of public utilities; and program support.

Lead engineering studies design projects with demonstrated ability to take projects from identifying concepts, to design and preparation of construction documents, to providing construction (and post-construction) services support.

Manage task-specific scope, schedule, and budget. Client/project management experience and business development is preferred.

Interface and build relationships with clients and public agencies on an as-needed basis.

Collaborate with a team of support professionals, including CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians.

Coach and mentor junior level staff.

SENIOR WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education:

Master’s degree preferred in civil engineering with an emphasis in water resources or a related field.

Ohio PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience is required.

Experience with design and plan production in AutoCad Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent.

Experience with industry-standard hydrologic/hydraulic modeling packages, 2D modeling experience preferred.

Experience with GIS is a plus.

Familiarity with ODOT and demonstrated pre-qualification for hydraulics-related codes.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management design standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
