Job Description
As a key member of the Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst leads NKA’s monthly financial reporting and drives initiatives to improve gross margin and working capital. They partner directly with all Cost Managers to manage SG&A expenses across budget, forecast, and actuals, supporting the company’s investments and cost discipline. Each month, they present a financial performance deck to the Executive Team, highlighting trends and opportunities to ensure the company meets its full-year expectations.
Essential Functions and Main Duties
Provide accurate Budget, Forecast, and Actual reporting for company financials, and for each cost center and functional rollups.
Partner with all Cost Managers to build Budgets and Forecasts by G/L to meet company’s goals.
Analyze variances vs. Budget, Forecast, & Prior Year and communicate related trends, risks, and opportunities.
Work with Finance team during period close to identify and reconcile significant variances and ensure that financials accurately reflect business activity.
Work closely with Operations and Service on key initiatives to improve gross margin and working capital. This may include projects related to inventory, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
Interpret financials, frame business issues, and provide recommendations to VP Finance in support of communication/presentation of monthly financial results.
Demonstrate high level of intellectual curiosity with ad-hoc projects to identify opportunities to reduce expenses and drive more profitable growth.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Qualifications
Education / Certification / Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline
3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis
SAP experience preferred
Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills
Competencies Required
Superior systems and data mining capabilities from ERP’s
Strong Microsoft Excel modeling skills and PowerPoint proficiency
Success driving budgeting and forecasting processes
Effective business analytics skills to recognize insights and trends from tools and reports, even with limited data
Consistency in providing accurate data in a timely manner, both routine and ad hoc
High level of accountability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English
Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Compensation
The anticipated range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions
Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.
Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
