HiFyve is hiring a Cost Accountant in the aerospace manufacturing industry in Wichita, KS!

Salary: $60K

Location: Wichita, KS (Onsite)

Job Summary:

Were seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join the finance team at a leading aerospace manufacturer. This position is responsible for preparing cost reports, analyzing variances, tracking production costs, and ensuring proper cost allocation across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally to drive cost efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements

Perform variance analysis to identify cost issues and recommend solutions

Monitor and ensure accurate cost allocation across production operations

Collaborate with production and operations teams to track and control costs

Maintain and update cost accounting records and ERP data

Assist with budgeting processes and cost forecasting

Support internal audits and compliance with financial policies

Help implement and maintain cost control procedures

Communicate regularly with leadership on assignment progress and risks

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

3+ years of cost accounting or related experience in manufacturing

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Understanding of cost accounting principles and compliance standards

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Office-based role with standard computer and administrative functions

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
