Who We Want:

Q’Apel Medical is recruiting part-time Project Engineering Interns for Summer 2025 based out of the HQ office in Fremont, CA. This internship program will provide a comprehensive learning and professional experience in the Project Management space.

Intern positions are part-time (max 24 hours per week) opportunities expecting to last ~2.5 months, from June start to August 2025. This in-person position is available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors at an accredited college/university during the internship period. We work in an “on-site model”. This means that you will be asked to report to the site at our HQ in Fremont throughout the week. If you are selected for an internship role, you will work directly with your manager as your start date approaches to confirm your exact schedule.

What You’ll Work On:

Primarily responsible for contributing to the design, development, and manufacturability of neurovascular/ vascular products in accordance with the company’s Quality System and customer requirements. The role is multifaceted and varied; it requires technical knowledge for assigned projects or products to assure the design and development process is followed and will include, but is not limited to, design, development, verification and validation testing, transfer to manufacturing, and continuous enhancements/ improvements to the products.

Project Engineering: Update specifications, maintain product documentation

Update engineering test protocols.

Set up and run product testing and protocols.

Analyze test data and update engineering test reports.

Provide status reports.

Maintain and set up test fixtures to support design verification testing.

Perform job functions in a safe and effective manner.

Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

Education:

High School Graduate

Experience & Skills:

Interest in the medical device industry, preferably in the Neurovascular/ Vascular device industry.

Effective/ Excellent verbal and written communications

Ability to work independently or in a team setting required.

Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization

Works well under pressure, and is organized and self-motivated

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, M-F.

Our compensation ranges are determined by role and level. Your placement within the range will be based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or certifications. This is a non-exempt, part-time position with an hourly rate between $17.30 and $20.00. Please note that this position is not benefits-eligible.
