JOB SUMMARY: The Nash Casino is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to manage and optimize our critical, high-availability network infrastructure. This role requires over 10 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-level networks with a focus on gaming environments, network security, and operational resilience. You will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous optimization of a secure network that supports 24/7 gaming operations, while ensuring compliance with strict regulatory standards and minimizing downtime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Modify and configure switchport settings, ensuring compliance with security standards and network requirements.

Maintain up-to-date records of available ports on IDF switches to ensure efficient use of resources for new installations and expansions.

Optimize secure VLAN configurations, enforce inter-VLAN routing strategies, and safeguard sensitive gaming and financial data.

Implement and maintain network redundancy and failover solutions for zero-downtime operations, ensuring continuous availability for gaming systems.

Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration logs, and other records to support troubleshooting, audits, and upgrades.

Design and enforce robust firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS), and access control mechanisms to protect gaming and financial systems.

Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, gaming commission regulations, and industry-specific security frameworks.

Regularly conduct network security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.

Enforce network segmentation to protect critical gaming and financial systems from cyber threats, ensuring a secure operational environment.

Support and implement comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies, aligning with industry best practices.

Infrastructure Expansion & High Availability:

Lead network architecture design for the casino’s infrastructure growth, including gaming floor expansions, new gaming system integrations, and network system upgrades.

Contribute to the design and implementation of redundant and highly available network solutions to minimize downtime in a 24/7 operational environment.

Manage and support VOIP phone systems (Yealink/YonderUC) and POS infrastructure (Agilysys).

Troubleshoot WiFi, TCP/IP, BGP routing, and Mesh Networking across a multi-vendor environment, ensuring network performance and uptime.Act as the primary on-site network expert, providing advancedtechnical support to IT Specialists and System Administrators for complex networking issues.

Troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal network performance and security.

Provide technical training to IT staff on networking best practices, security protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.

Administer and support critical Microsoft Windows Server environments (2008, 2012, 2016, 2022), Office 365 (Azure AD with AD Sync), and endpoint security solutions.

Additional IT Support & Maintenance (Gaming Focused):

Manage and optimize ticketing systems to prioritize and resolve network and system issues.

Provide on-call support for critical systems, ensuring 24/7 availability and rapid issue resolution.

Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain and maintain a New Hampshire Gaming License.

Available to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Minimum of an Associate Degree in Information Technology, MIS, or equivalent. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

10+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise networks in high-security, high-availability environments, particularly in gaming or financial services.

Proven expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in a fault-tolerant and secure environment.

Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switching, and routing, including QoS and redundancy configurations.

Deep understanding of network segmentation, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and complex multi-layer network troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience:

Expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, including VPN, intrusion prevention, and advanced rule management.

Proficiency in Meraki WiFi deployment, network segmentation, and security configuration.

Extensive experience in implementing and managing network access control (NAC) to enhance security.

Proficient with CAT5/CAT6 termination, structured cabling best practices, and ensuring optimal network hardware performance.

Experience with network and server performance testing, and developing strategies to maintain infrastructure capacity and reliability.

Advanced knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures, virus/malware protection, and technical documentation practices.
